Though steel buildings are one of the most strongest and durable building structures, they also require adequate maintenance from time to time. Effective measures should be taken to regulate the temperature inside the building since steel is a very good conductor of heat. As a result of this, heat can get transferred very easily inside the steel building during hot weather and on the other hand in winters heat can escape outside.
Condensation can also be a big problem for steel buildings. Adequate ventilation of the building and using effective insulation can solve this problem. Insulation needs of the building basically depend on the purpose for which the building is to be utilized. If the steel building is to be used for storing equipment then insulation might not be necessary but if there will be people working inside then insulation becomes necessary.
Besides all this sound and light insulation is also necessary for a steel building. Dampen the noise in the building and use a white facing inside the building to give that extra illumination to the building interiors.
